In 2026, a record field of 161 crews will compete at the Nürburgring, including Max Verstappen's debut with Verstappen Racing in a Mercedes-AMG GT3. The race starts May 16, with qualifying on May 15.
The Nürburgring Nordschleife spans over 25 kilometers, featuring more than 70 turns and approximately 300 meters of elevation change. In 2026, a record field for the past 12 years will take the start—161 crews in total. The main highlight is the debut of the four-time Formula 1 world champion, who will attempt to conquer the "Green Hell" for the first time with Verstappen Racing behind the wheel of a Mercedes-AMG GT3.
Competition in the top class will be intense, with 41 GT3 crews competing, dominated by Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes-AMG. Overall, the track will host both factory teams and amateurs, which traditionally creates the unique atmosphere of this race.
The final qualifying session will take place on May 15 at 14:35, while the main marathon race will start on May 16 at 16:00 and continue until Sunday evening. Commentary will be provided by Bohdan Zaverukha, Oleksii Mochanov, Oleksandr Melnyk, and Danylo Bohush.
