Oracle conducted one of the largest layoffs in the technology sector, resulting in nearly 30,000 employees losing their jobs.
Before the large-scale layoffs, management required employees to use internal AI programs and meticulously document their workflows to train neural networks. In response to these actions, more than 600 former employees signed a collective letter demanding increased severance pay, expedited stock issuance, and extended medical insurance coverage.
Oracle refused to negotiate with the group, stating it would only consider individual appeals.
