Lando Norris Softens Stance
Lando once again commented on the new regulations, but this time he was less categorical in his statements than before. These cars rely much less on downforce and are more often on the edge. I enjoy driving them; they remind me of some junior series cars, and that is a big compliment. However, I am not struggling with the car itself, but with what is behind us—the power unit regulations. In Japan, the battery activated on its own, even though I did not want it to, and I had to overtake Lewis. As a result, I became an easy target on the next straight. This takes too much control away from the driver.
He has turned anger into affection. Perhaps later he will say he is thrilled with the regulations. Who knows, who knows.
