Valtteri Bottas admitted that Cadillac gave him a unique experience unavailable at top teams. For the first time in his long career, the Finnish driver did not just get into a ready-made car but took direct part in creating it "from a blank sheet."
According to Valtteri, the opportunity to influence the DNA of the car even before its first track outing was a breath of fresh air for him. The experienced driver explained that at Cadillac, he was able to implement his technical preferences even in small details — for example, in designing the ergonomics of the steering wheel and adjusting the steering mechanism to suit his style.
In established teams like Mercedes, he had to adapt to years of engineering heritage, whereas the American project allowed him to become a full co-author of the new era 2026 car.
