It is believed that Christian Horner and Toto Wolff have shown the greatest interest in buying these shares. Horner wants to return to Formula 1, while Wolff is interested in investment. According to information from the publication Racer, Renault reportedly prefers Mercedes as the buyer.
Competing teams, led by McLaren CEO Zak Brown, criticize the potential collaboration: "I am against joint ownership of teams. All eleven teams should be as independent as possible. There is always a significant risk of compromising the integrity of the sport," said Zak Brown.
"Power unit supply should be the limit."
